Today another TYPO3 extension for comments family was released. It is IP blocking filter (extension key: comments_ipbl). It includes SpamHaus DROP ("Don't Route or Peer") list, can use DNSBL, and lets administrator block IP addresses either manually or by clicking on the link in notification e-mail.
This extension uses new hooks in Comments TYPO3 extension. I had to change some existing hook to make them more generic. So if anyone used comments_ic ("Comments: individual closing") together with tt_news or commerce TYPO3 extensions, than upgrade will be necessary. Extension Manager will complain if incompatible versions of extensions are installed.
